Tape for jointing and repairing distribution and power cables up to 46 Kv. Used in conjunction with PVC tapes for sealing telephone and electrical cable splice sleeves or as anti-corrosion.
Remove the separation strip and lengthen the tape until its width is reduced by 1/3 or 1/2. Hold the strip under slight tension and begin spiraling, maintaining an overlap of the loops equal to 50% of the previous loop in order to achieve the desired thickness. The high degree of elongation prevents the formation of air pockets and ensures rapid amalgamability.
