WL-FILMAT self-cleaning filters have been designed with innovative solutions for cartridge self-cleaning system efficiency, thanks to a new backwash that ensures the best removal of particles from the cartridge. When the cartridge needs to be cleaned, the backwash cleaning operation is simply driven by the opening of the drain ball valve at the bottom of the filter. This operation causes a pressure drop that pushes the cartridge down to the bottom of the container and reverses the flow. This countercurrent flow cleans and sends impurities trapped on the outer surface of the cartridge to the drain. Filters can have filtration ratings of 90 microns with cartridges made of stainless steel mesh or plastic mesh.
