Strongly cold-adhesive self-amalgamating elastic tape composed of a layer of viscoelastic butyl rubber and a coating of high-density polyethylene film. Ideal for coating in-line joints of buried pipelines, including large diameters as the only anticorrosive protective tape.
Because of its excellent adhesion properties, it does not need primer when applied to clean, dry pipes. Peel off the siliconized film and apply evenly, exerting some tension so that it adheres perfectly to the pipe surface. In the case of particularly rusty or corrugated pipes, careful brushing and application of a coat of Butyl Primer is necessary.
