Extruded sintered activated carbon filter block with 0.3 and 5 micron grade (disposable cartridge) for filtration of very fine particles, including some microorganisms, and elimination of odors and tastes due to chlorine and other organic compounds, reduction of pesticides, insecticides, chlorinated compounds. Domestic uses: for drinking water allowed only with equipment approved by current regulations (e.g., reverse osmosis systems with U.V. lamp). Technical uses: pre-treatment for protection of reverse osmosis membranes. Anti-chlorine treatment for food, chemical, pharmaceutical industry. Average shelf life: 6 to 12 months. Maintenance: surface scraping every 2-3 months. Warning – install a prefilter to protect the cartridge.
