Complexometric water titration kit. Determines in French degrees the Total Hardness i.e., the amount of calcium and magnesium salts dissolved in water.
Rinse the test tube with the water to be analyzed. Fill the test tube with the water to be analyzed up to the 5-mL mark. Add the titrant drop by drop while holding the bottle with the dripper pointing downward, shaking the test tube after each addition. Count the drops until the color changes from red to green. Depending on the titrant used, each drop consumed on a 5-mL sample corresponds to the value indicated on the bottle; on a 10-mL sample. Each drop consumed corresponds to half the value indicated on the bottle.
