Handy portable instrument of excellent accuracy for determining the freezing point and consequently the concentration of monoethylene and monopropylene antifreeze, battery acid or other more or less concentrated solutions of food and non-food liquids commonly available on the market.
Calibrate the instrument with distilled water by adjusting the calibration screw. Put back a few drops of the liquid to be analyzed and observe through the eyepiece the detected value of freezing temperature or concentration.
