Handy portable, digital instrument with triple function: pH meter, Thermometer, Redox Potential. It exactly establishes the amount of free chlorine in ppm (parts per million), in swimming pool water and determines in thermal plant water the degree of anti-corrosion protection, consequently the health status of the plant. In fact, the pH/redox potential value pair determines the rH value, (oxidizing power of a water).
1) Calibrate the instrument probe with the appropriate solution provided. 2) Measure the pH and redox potential (mv) values. 3) From De Lescouer's nomogram, derive the rH value on the graduated scale by joining the pH and redox potential (mv) values with a line. See example with rH = 25. Values of rH between 20 and 30 determine a range of water stability. Outside this range the water is highly aggressive.
